3.Exhibition - solo art exhibition of James C.F.L

Dec. 5th 2010

Solo Art Exhibition of  James Chang Fu Liu was held in Vancouver Public Library.
At first time, when I see his paintings, there was no difference with other artists.
However, on a closer view, the artist James Chang Fu Liu has his own techniques.
Compared to other artists, he paints on real photographs.
It was really interesting art exhibition for me.

Art megazine: Frankie

Frankie is my favorite magazine which is an australian magazine. It contains
various interesting artistic crafts such as illustration, art, photography, polaroids, wallpaper, articles, funny stories. Compared to other magazines, this magazine has its own style. Also, it introduces urban music for music people.

1. Exhibition - LEONARDO DA VINCI ART EXHIBITION

Leonardo da Vinci : The Mechanics of Man

This exhibition was valuable for me. Because, It was a great opportunity that I
can learn the structure of human being in scientifically but also in artistically.
As I observing Leonardo da Vinci's works, I've realized that most of his works
were motivated from human forms such as bones and veins. Unfortunately,
I couldn't take photos of his works.

*One thing from my note after the exhibition

Anatomical Manuscript A
consists of thirty-four pen-and-ink drawings on eighteen sheets of paper.
The drawings are accompanied by Leonardo’s notes, which discuss the mechanics of the body.
The notes are made in Leonardo’s habitual mirror handwriting. It is evident that he added to his notations as he began to better understand the anatomical complexities. Some of his writings are been translated and appear on the walls, adjacent to the originals.

2 brief points!
-science and art in Leonardo's historical drawings
-explorations of the body as an artist
